An Allston resident has admitted in federal court to trafficking methamphetamine and 1,4-Butanediol (BDO), a substance similar to Gamma Hydroxybutyrate (GHB), commonly known as the “date rape drug.” Peter Schiepers, 33, pleaded guilty to several charges related to the distribution and possession of both methamphetamine and BDO from his home in Allston.
Schiepers entered his plea before U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns, who scheduled sentencing for January 7, 2026. The indictment against Schiepers was handed down by a federal grand jury in April 2025.
According to information provided by law enforcement, Schiepers became a suspect in November 2024 after authorities learned he was supplying methamphetamine in the Boston area. From November 2024 through February 2025, a cooperating source made several controlled purchases from him.
In January 2025, Schiepers sold one ounce of methamphetamine during a transaction. The following month, he sold four ounces of methamphetamine and a liter of BDO.
The charge for possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to forty years in prison, along with at least three years and up to life on supervised release and a fine that could reach $5 million. The charge involving fifty grams or more of methamphetamine carries at least ten years in prison and could result in a life sentence, with similar terms for supervised release and fines up to $10 million. Sentencing decisions will be based on federal guidelines and statutes.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley stated: “United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Jarod A.
